Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Machinist to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating fabrication equipment, including brake presses, laser cutting machines, drill presses, and saws, to produce high-quality parts according to engineering drawings and production requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a metal fabrication environment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

The Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating fabrication equipment, including brake presses, laser cutting machines, drill presses, and saws, to produce high-quality parts according to engineering drawings and production requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a metal fabrication environment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate brake presses to bend and form metal components according to specifications.
- Operate laser cutting equipment to cut sheet metal and other materials accurately and efficiently.
- Operate drill presses and various saws to fabricate parts and assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, drawings, and specifications.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, squares, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues as needed.
- Maintain production quality standards and complete required documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist with material handling and movement of finished products as required.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of machining, fabrication, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience operating brake presses, laser cutters, drill presses, and saws.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools accurately.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery.
