Title: Associate AttorneyLocation: Tulsa, OK - In PersonPay: 75K + DOE Position Overview:Seeking an Associate Attorney with a strong background in legal research, negotiation, and litigation to assist with a variety of insurance defense cases. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain valuable experience across a range of legal matters, while contributing to the success of the firm. You will work alongside seasoned attorneys, handling complex cases from start to finish, and have the chance to develop your legal expertise in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:Jury Trials: Attend, prepare for, and conduct jury trials, including presenting arguments, examining witnesses, and making opening/closing statements.Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategies, motions, and briefs.Legal Drafting: Draft a wide range of legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and discovery responses.Depositions: Take and defend depositions, with occasional travel required for out-of-town depositions.Negotiation: Actively negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, ensuring the best possible outcome while managing client expectations.Client Representation: Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings.Legal Counsel: Provide clear and concise legal advice to clients on a wide range of issues related to insurance defense and litigation.Stay Current: Stay informed of changes in state and federal laws, regulations, and legal precedents that affect insurance defense. Qualifications:Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.License: Admitted to practice law in the state of Oklahoma.Experience: 2 to 15 years of experience working in a law office setting, preferably with a focus in insurance defense or litigation.Litigation Skills: Proven ability to effectively litigate cases, from pre-trial motions to post-trial matters.Legal Writing: Strong proficiency in legal drafting, with attention to detail and ability to write clearly and persuasively.Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to negotiate settlements and manage client expectations throughout the litigation process.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal issues in a clear and compelling manner. Preferred Skills:Insurance Defense Experience: Knowledge of insurance defense and related legal practices is highly preferred but not required.Trial Experience: Experience in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy is a plus.Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and support staff in a team-oriented environment.
