Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather and organize materials.
- Attach drawings to parts and place them on pallets.
- Perform basic operation of the press brake with supervisor setup.
- Conduct basic programming with supervisor assistance.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of part prints and drawings.
- Produce the first part and verify it meets specifications.
- Manufacture the specified quantity of parts according to the work packet.
- Understand exposure prevention and hazard recognition procedures.
- Complete all required fields in the Press Brake Log for each part.
- Inspect each part for burrs and sharp edges.
- Learn and apply proper die selection techniques.
- Notify the Lead when finished quantities are less than specified.
- Follow end-of-shift procedures and housekeeping requirements.
- Verify one part out of every ten parts to ensure specifications are met.
- Record the number of completed parts on the drawing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Follow all documented procedures and work instructions within the Quality System.
- Report and/or document any quality issues related to products or procedures to a supervisor or Quality personnel.
- Suggest improvements to product designs, procedures, and work instructions when appropriate.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach with the goal of enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Successfully complete the Press Brake Safety Program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic familiarity with machinery and manufacturing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and planning skills.
- Strong mathematical and computational abilities.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Work in a typical non-air-conditioned shop or warehouse environment.
- Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Perform repetitive motions, including bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Stand for the majority of the work shift.
