CNC Haas Mill Machinist - 2nd Shift
Job Description
Monday-Thursday 4p-2:30aPay: $20-$25 Hourly The CNC Haas Mill Machinist is a skilled professional responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of Haas CNC milling machines. The machinist reads and interprets engineering blueprints and specifications, programs or edits G-code, and utilizes precision measuring tools to create high-quality, finished products. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Prepare and set up Haas CNC vertical or horizontal milling machines by selecting, aligning, and securing the correct holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials.Load and execute G-code programs. Perform in-process and first-article inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Make necessary adjustments to machine controls, offsets, and tooling. Perform routine preventative maintenance.Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Qualifications:Proven experience setting up and operating Haas CNC millProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.Strong understanding of G-code and M-code, with experience in programming or editing.Skilled in the use of a variety of precision measuring instruments.Solid knowledge of standard machine shop practices, cutting tools, and material properties.Strong mechanical aptitude with effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.A keen eye for precision to ensure parts meet exact specifications.Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members.Ability to manage time efficiently, handle multiple tasks, and work independently or as part of a team
