Job Summary
As a Combination Welder, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's operations and maintenance efforts. Your versatile welding skills will be essential in ensuring the proper functioning and safety of our specialized equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to fabricate, repair, and maintain equipment and structures
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding methods and procedures
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address welding-related issues
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Combination Welder, with a demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Certification in welding, such as AWS or ASME, is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions
This position involves working in a workshop environment, with exposure to various welding hazards, including heat, sparks, and fumes. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, lift and maneuver heavy equipment, and work in a team-oriented setting.
Compensation and Benefits
The target pay rate for this position is $25 to $28 Per hour based on experience and weld test. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan contributions, and paid time off.
