Job Description
ReceptionistSchedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pmPay: $15.00 Hourly
The receptionist plays a key role in the organization, as this position is often the first impression of the organization to clients and customers. Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of calls, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department. Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to requested person or department. Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information. Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel. Receives, sorts, and routes mail; maintains and routes publications. Takes payments for services. Good communication and organizational skills Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED certification, preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred.
Professional Experience: Three to six months of experience general office experience, preferred. Three to six months of experience providing satisfactory customer service, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Requires basic communication skills; ability to communicate both orally and in writing with those within and outside of the workplace. Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization. Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed No exposure to safety hazards as the work environment is relatively free of hazards and there are not physically demanding aspects of the job. This position typically performs work within a normal office environment. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
