Customer Service Representative

Job Description

About the PositionAs a Customer Account Representative, you will be responsible for managing the needs of both existing and prospective customers. Your duties will include responding to customer inquiries, providing product information and price quotations, processing sales orders and returns, and coordinating with other departments to ensure timely completion of orders. You will also be responsible for resolving routine issues and communicating solutions or requested information to customers.This position has a strong customer service focus. As one of the first points of contact for customers, you will also provide support to other departments, including:
  • Assisting outside sales representatives with customer needs.
  • Providing administrative support to the accounting department.
  • Supporting senior personnel within the functional area.
  • Coordinating with production to expedite orders and ensure on-time delivery of scheduled shipments.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide customers with product literature, price quotes, references, and other requested data.
  • Prepare sales order configurations and price quotations and submit them to customers.
  • Manage documentation for returned goods and coordinate with receiving and accounting departments.
  • Analyze and resolve customer inquiries accurately and promptly.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction and maintain positive relationships.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in active listening, negotiation, and critical thinking.
  • Solid understanding of general job functions and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across departments.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with Visual ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
**Previous manufacturing experience PREFERRED**
$20.00 an hour- Temp to perm
