Job Description
Position location available in Tulsa, OK or Casper, WY.
Job Summary:
Seeking a highly motivated and skilled Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of drafting techniques and experience working with CAD software to produce detailed technical drawings and blueprints. Familiarity with Inventor Drafting Program is a plus. The Drafter will work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to bring concepts to life in precise and clear drawings, ensuring all designs meet technical specifications and quality standards of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and modify detailed technical drawings, plans, and blueprints using CAD software. (Inventor)
Interpret engineering sketches, designs, and specifications to produce accurate drafts.Work closely with Project Managers, customers, and design teams to ensure designs are functional and meet all technical and manufacturing requirements.Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.Revise and update drafts as per feedback and changes in design or specifications.Prepare presentation drawings for review and project coordination.Maintain accurate documentation and records of drawings and revisions.Troubleshoot drawing and design issues, providing solutions to improve functionality and design.Ensure that all drawings are completed on time and within project specifications.Collaborate in product development phases to ensure accurate representation of ideas.
Qualifications:Associate’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Proficiency in CAD software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs.Experience with Inventor Drafting Program is a plus.Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings.Good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and product design principles.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts.
Preferred Skills and Experience:Experience with 3D modeling and drafting.Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering drawing standards (depending on the industry).Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and codes.Ability to work with multiple team members across different stages of a project.
