Job Description
Job Title: Electrical TechnicianJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:
Start an ET between $25-$32/hr. depending on skill level.
$1.25 extra for evening shift differential.
From there, the pay goes up as they prove their skills and abilities.
The shifts range from 7 am-3 pm, 3 pm-11 pm, and 11 pm-7 am shifts. It is best to be as flexible as you can to get your foot in the door with this extraordinary client of ours! Temp to perm
- Install, test, and maintain electrical systems and components according to technical drawings and electrical codes.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards or defects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and national electrical codes.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Assist engineers in the design and development of new electrical systems or modifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and project managers.
- The candidate will need to program PLCs (Allen Bradley and ABB ) from start to finish.They will need to know ladder logic, relay controls, and all aspects of an industrial machine technician.
- They will need to have the skills to facilitate the modernization and automation of a machine.
- A diploma or associate degree in Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.
- Proficient in the use of electrical testing tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with local and national electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certification as an Electrical Technician or Electrician License (depending on location).
- Experience in industrial, commercial, or residential electrical work.
- Knowledge of PLCs, automation, and control systems is a plus.
