Engineering Drafter
Job Description
Engineering DrafterTemporary position 2 or more years’ experience working with Engineering drawings.$30.00 to $40.00 DOE and Education
Main Responsibilities:
Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings, including:
P&ID’s, PFD’s
Single-line Diagram (OSHA requirement)
Discrete Junction Box, Analog Junction Box, SIS Junction Box
Elementary and Wiring Diagram
Control Panel – Emerson Delta V baseplate/charms. PLC panels, Panel Board – 120/240V, breaker panel, heat tracing drawingsLoop Drawings - Drawings are label based on instrument type
Power Plan, Substation, Electrical plot plan
Network Infrastructure, MCC Layout
Underground piping, plot plans
Gather and review technical information in the field to create and update drawings.
Work with Engineers and Technicians to collect information in the field to prepare and update AutoCAD drawings.
Work with Project Engineers to create and update drawings related to new projects in the plant.
Skills,Training, and Experience Required:
2-years or more experience working with Engineering drawings High School Diploma.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with P&ID’s, PFD’s, electrical drawings, plot plans.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, especially knowledge of AutoCAD.
Experience with collecting technical data from the field to update or create engineering drawings.
Manufacturing technical knowledge and experience – piping, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical.
Demonstrated knowledge of international drawing standards (ANSI/ISA, ISO, IEC, IEEE).
Capable of handling multiple projects concurrently.
Self-starter who can work independent of constant supervision.
Must be able to communicate well with many departments.
