Reports To: General Manager / Director of Club Operations
Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary:The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations of the club's buildings, grounds, and equipment. This includes managing a team of technicians, ensuring the upkeep of high-end hospitality spaces (clubhouse, dining areas, golf course amenities, pools, etc.), and maintaining a pristine and safe environment for members, guests, and staff. The ideal candidate will bring hospitality-level attention to detail, strong technical knowledge, and excellent leadership capabilities.Key Responsibilities:Facilities & Equipment Maintenance:
  • Oversee all repair and maintenance activities for the clubhouse, guest facilities, kitchens, pools, fitness areas, tennis courts, golf course structures, and administrative buildings.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, elevators, and other key assets.
  • Ensure landscaping and outdoor facilities are maintained to high aesthetic standards in coordination with groundskeeping teams.
Team Management:
  • Lead, train, and schedule maintenance technicians, custodians, and seasonal staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews and maintain a positive, professional working environment.
Project & Vendor Management:
  • Coordinate and supervise outside vendors and contractors for larger renovation or repair projects.
  • Negotiate service contracts for janitorial, pest control, HVAC, waste management, and other maintenance-related services.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with local and state codes, OSHA, ADA, and fire/life safety regulations.
  • Maintain documentation and perform regular inspections to meet health and safety standards, particularly in pool, spa, and kitchen areas.
Budget & Inventory Control:
  • Develop and manage annual maintenance and repair budgets.
  • Track inventory and order parts, tools, and supplies as needed.
Member & Event Support:
  • Provide operational support for club events and member functions by preparing facilities and ensuring systems are functioning properly (lighting, audio/visual, climate control, etc.).
  • Respond promptly to member service requests and facility issues with professionalism and urgency.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma required; associate degree or technical certification in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a hospitality, resort, or country club setting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Certifications Preferred:
    • Certified Club Manager (CCM) or Certified Hospitality Facilities Executive (CHFE)
    • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
    • CPO (Certified Pool Operator)
    • HVAC, plumbing, or electrical licenses are a plus
  • Skills:
    • Strong customer service mindset
    • Knowledge of high-end facility operations, including kitchens, pools, and guest spaces
    • Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office
    • Ability to multitask and respond to emergencies calmly and effectively
Working Conditions:
  • Frequently on-call to address urgent issues or support club events.
  • Must be physically capable of conducting inspections and handling light repair work.
  • Work involves indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
$30.00 an hour, Temp to perm
