Job Description
Will provide professional assistance and daily administration within the human resources and payroll department.
Assist with new hire and termination processing, salary administration, employee benefits enrollments and billings, employee relocations, employee recognition and awards programs, and other related activities for employees.
Administer employee changes, including address changes in the payroll and benefit administration systems.
Prepare new hire and termination personnel files.
Prepare various reports as required including weekly and monthly new hire, termination, active reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and submit new hire reporting for the state, along with employment statistics reporting for the US Department of Labor
Sort and distribute incoming mail and process outgoing mail
Occasional front desk phone coverage
Order office supplies for the department
File I-9's and track expiring I-9's
Process employment verifications
Process unemployment claim responses
Assist with the annual open enrollment process including distribution of enrollment materials
Coordinate the company blood drives and area United Way campaign
Provide administrative support as required and perform other duties or assignments as directed
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
Must be highly customer service oriented.
Proficiency in the use of a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheet, database and HRIS/automated payroll software.
Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High School Diploma or Associate's Degree.
1-2 years of related Human Resources administration$19-$20/hr, temp-hire#ZR
