We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Industrial Sand Blaster to join our team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty blasting equipment to clean and texture surfaces, thoroughly preparing products for the powder coating process. This position requires physical stamina, precision, and a strong commitment to workshop safety and quality standards.Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate an industrial sand blaster equipped with a heavy 2.5” hose to remove rust, scale, and imperfections from metal products.
- Prepare, clean, and treat product surfaces according to specification before they go to the powder coat line.
- Inspect blasted components to ensure surfaces meet required profiles and cleanliness standards.
- Load and unload heavy parts and materials into the blasting booth or chamber safely.
- Perform routine daily maintenance and safety checks on blasting equipment and nozzles.
- Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including air-supplied hoods, blast suits, and heavy gloves.
- Keep the blasting area and surrounding shop clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Previous experience operating industrial blasting or manufacturing equipment.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle and control a pressurized 2.5” blasting hose for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure parts are perfectly prepped without missing spots or damaging the base material.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for the 6:00 AM start time.
- Ability to work effectively in a loud, dusty environment while wearing heavy protective gear.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy parts and equipment repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, bend, and move continuously for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
