Job Description

  • Technical Support: 
Respond to users' requests for IT assistance, providing support via phone, email, or in-person.  
    • Installation & Configuration: 
Install and set up new hardware (desktops, laptops, printers), software, and user accounts. 
    • Troubleshooting & Repair: 
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including system crashes, slow internet, and malfunctioning peripherals. 
    • Maintenance: 
Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and other IT infrastructure to ensure efficient operation. 
    • Documentation: 
Keep records of software and equipment, document technical fixes, and update knowledge bases for future reference. 
    • User Assistance: 
Train users on new software and hardware, and provide guidance on technical issues. Required Skills

    • Technical Skills:

        • Proficiency with operating systems (e.g., Windows OS, macOS). 

        • Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and networking. 

        • Ability to perform hardware diagnostics and use imaging software. 

    • Soft Skills:

        • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with users effectively. 

        • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently. 

        • Customer Service: A patient, professional, and customer-oriented approach to support. 

        • Organizational Skills: Strong time-management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks. 
Qualifications
  •  
  1.  
    • Education: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field is often preferred.
    • Certifications: CompTIA A+ and Microsoft certifications are valuable.
    • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in desktop or field support is often a requirement.
