Job Description

Install Technician – Vehicle UpfittingLocation: Oklahoma City, OK**
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $18/hr (higher pay considered for strong experience)
Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Install Technician to perform vehicle upfitting and equipment installation on work trucks and specialty vehicles. This hands-on role is perfect for mechanically minded individuals who enjoy problem-solving, turning wrenches, and building custom solutions.Technicians will install, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of components including electrical systems, toolboxes, ladder racks, cranes, hydraulic systems, emergency lighting, air compressors, and truck bodies. Welding or fabrication experience is a major plus.This is a full-time, long-term position with growth potential for candidates who show initiative, reliability, and strong craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair truck-mounted and fleet equipment.
  • Upfit work trucks with toolboxes, ladder racks, lighting, and accessories.
  • Troubleshoot and wire electrical components and lighting systems.
  • Assist with hydraulic and mechanical system installations.
  • Perform light fabrication and welding (if experience allows).
  • Read work orders and follow installation specifications.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to complete projects on time.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and follow all safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • Must have own tools and be proficient in their use.
  • Experience with vehicle upfitting, mechanical installation, equipment assembly, or related work.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and hydraulic systems.
  • Welding and fabrication experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment as needed.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
