Press Operator WEEKENDS ONLYSchedule: Friday Saturday and SundayHours: 3am-3:30pmPay Range: $18.00- $21.00 Hourly
Job SummaryOperate hydraulic press machine to produce high tolerance plates used for the assembly of heat exchangers according to specification and procedure required for final product. Must be able to train during the week on 1st or 2nd shift before moving to weekends.
Responsibilities:Press the different types of plates according to standard operating procedures.Run, monitor and adjust the press line to achieve quality specifications to account for variables such as new tools, material, etc.Test and verify quality of parts before, during, and after the production according to the procedures.Manage inventory of both raw material and finished goods, packing and handling effectively and efficiently.Process the tool changes and cleaning.Research the breakdown causes and make the necessary repairs.Drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety Document and communicate issues to stakeholdersMaintain the order and cleanliness of the work place and press lines.
Skills and Competencies:Proficient at reading technical drawings and blueprints.Good knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity preferred.Meticulous attention to detail and focus on qualityHigh degree of problem-solving skills, especially in mechanical aptitudeBasic computers knowledge and skills.
