Maintenance
Job Description
- Respond to and complete maintenance requests from tenants or supervisors.
- Conduct basic repairs on equipment, structures, and building systems.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and other systems.
- Handle minor fixes (e.g., locks, wall gaps) and general cleaning tasks.
- Install and repair appliances and equipment.
- Maintain yards and landscaping beds (mowing, trimming, planting, mulching).
- Inspect systems (e.g., ventilation, detectors) for safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with team members on renovations or larger projects.
- Obtain and negotiate contractor bids; oversee contractor work.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and health standards.
- Hands-on experience in construction (drywall, framing, painting).
- Intermediate knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair.
- Familiarity with fencing work and landscaping.
- Skilled with hand/electrical tools and small machinery.
- Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with heavy-duty equipment (elevators, chillers, etc.).
- Bilingual abilities.
- Standing, walking, and physical activity for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- 3+ years of commercial maintenance experience.
- Willingness to work in multiple cities as needed.
- Reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Occasional availability during nights and weekends.
- Basic technical/computer skills (email, documentation).
- Dependable and detail-oriented.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks.
- Proactive in problem-solving.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Electrical drill (5–10 lbs), ladders (20 lbs), wet vac (40 lbs), vacuum (20 lbs), and other hand tools (1–50 lbs).
Temp-to-perm role starting at $17.00+/hour, based on experience
