Job Description
Ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 3 years facility maintenance experience including Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic and HVAC. Responsibilities for maintaining and repairing facilities, equipment, and machinery. This can include tasks like plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, carpentry, and general upkeep of buildings and grounds. They also inspect equipment, troubleshoot problems, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely. Here's a more detailed breakdown:Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting and Diagnosing:Regularly checking buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential issues or maintenance needs. Essential Skills:
- Repairs and Maintenance:Fixing broken items, such as locks, windows, doors, and plumbing fixtures.
- Electrical and Plumbing:Handling basic electrical repairs, like replacing faulty switches or outlets, and maintaining plumbing systems.
- HVAC Systems:Ensuring heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are functioning properly.
- General Building Maintenance:Painting, plastering, and performing carpentry tasks like building shelves or repairing furniture.
- Grounds Maintenance:Maintaining landscaping, including lawn care, trimming hedges, and clearing debris.
- Safety Compliance:Ensuring all equipment and systems meet safety standards and regulations.
- Record Keeping:Maintaining logs of maintenance activities and reporting issues to supervisors.
- Equipment Operation:Using hand and power tools, and potentially specialized equipment depending on the role.
- Collaboration:Working with other maintenance staff, contractors, and possibly clients or residents.
