Material Coordinator

Material Coordinator
The Material Coordinator oversees the efficient flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process. This role coordinates material timing, delivery, and availability to support production operations. Works closely with supply chain, warehouse, production, quality, and engineering teams to improve material flow and manufacturing efficiency. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and focused on continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering of materials
- Verify materials meet engineering specifications and quality standards
- Manage internal distribution of materials based on production schedules
- Track material and resource status using ERP systems and related tools
- Monitor inventory levels to reduce shortages and excess inventory
- Obtain vendor quotes and update delivery schedules for orders
- Collaborate with suppliers to source materials at competitive pricing
- Work closely with production, quality, engineering, and logistics teams to support material flow
- Participate in process improvement and waste reduction initiatives
- Identify components and understand basic operational functions
- Perform all work safely and follow workplace safety procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma
- Minimum five years of inventory, purchasing, or administrative experience preferred
- Oilfield services, automotive, or mechanical industry experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience working within ERP systems for material tracking and process management
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Forklift certification preferred

- Schedule: Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 5 PM (with a 1-hour paid lunch). Saturdays as needed.
- Pay: $20 to $22 an hour
- Required qualifications or experience: Must have experience in electrical or mechanical oilfield equipment, preferably. Also, must have experience also may be in an oilfield-related warehouse.
