Order Pulling
Job Description
- Order Picking:
- Retrieve products from inventory based on customer orders using hand-held scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product codes, quantities, and quality to ensure accuracy.
- Use material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to transport items as needed.
- Order Preparation:
- Package products securely to prevent damage during shipping.
- Label packages with shipping information and ensure proper documentation.
- Perform quality checks to confirm that orders are complete and meet specifications.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by reporting discrepancies or low stock levels to supervisors.
- Replenish stock in picking areas as needed to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
- Safety and Cleanliness:
- Adhere to safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment.
- Communication:
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve any issues related to orders or inventory.
- Provide feedback on process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution role preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (training may be provided).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items (up to [X] pounds).
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using hand-held scanners or computer systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Work is performed in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- May involve standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and conditions based on the warehouse environment.
Mon to Thurs 5 am to 3 pm Tues - Fri 7 am - 5 pm
Starting pay is $15.00 and this is a Temp to Hire opportunity
