An Outside Office Furniture Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling office furniture solutions to businesses, organizations, and institutions. This role requires proactive relationship building, understanding client needs, and offering customized office furniture solutions that align with clients' workplace requirements. The representatives will spend the majority of their time in the field, meeting with potential clients, presenting products, negotiating deals, and closing sales.Key Responsibilities:
Direct Hire Salary from 50K to 60K plus commission

This role requires proactive relationship building, understanding client needs, and offering customized office furniture solutions that align with clients' workplace requirements. The representatives will spend the majority of their time in the field, meeting with potential clients, presenting products, negotiating deals, and closing sales.Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Prospecting:
- Identify potential clients through various methods, including networking, cold calls, referrals, and market research.
- Schedule meetings with business decision-makers to introduce office furniture products and services.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Present product offerings, demonstrate features and explain the benefits to potential clients.
- Client Needs Assessment:
- Conduct needs assessments and site visits to understand client requirements for office furniture.
- Offer solutions that enhance office functionality, design, and ergonomics based on clients’ budgets and space constraints.
- Provide advice and recommendations to clients on design layouts, furniture functionality, and office ergonomics.
- Product Knowledge & Presentation:
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of office furniture products, features, and trends to effectively showcase options to clients.
- Present product samples, catalogs, and fabric/material samples during client meetings.
- Prepare and present detailed quotes, proposals, and pricing structures tailored to clients’ needs.
- Relationship Management:
- Cultivate long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Follow up on leads and current clients to ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns or issues.
- Maintain contact with customers post-sale to ensure timely delivery and installation of office furniture.
- Negotiation & Closing Sales:
- Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions of contracts with clients.
- Work with internal teams (e.g., customer service, logistics, and design) to ensure the accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Close sales deals and work towards achieving monthly or quarterly sales quotas.
- Market Research & Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and industry developments to stay informed and competitive.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to management on progress and pipeline status.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote products and expand networks.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and account status.
- Utilize CRM software to track leads, manage sales opportunities, and monitor performance.
- Proven experience in outside sales, with a background in selling office furniture, interior design, or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of office furniture design, ergonomics, and functionality is a plus.
- Full-time, with a schedule based on client needs and meetings.
- The majority of time will be spent in the field (meeting with clients, attending trade shows, etc.), with occasional time in the office for administrative tasks.
- Travel required, depending on the territory.
