Job Description

Pipe Socket Welder – Assembly DepartmentPay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour (DOE)
 Overtime available as needed.
Position SummarySeeking an experienced Pipe Socket Welder to join our Assembly Department. Responsible for socket welding pipe spools, fittings, valves, and related components according to drawings, WPS, and company quality standards.Weld Test RequirementCandidates must pass:
  • 6G Position Test
  • 2” Schedule 120 Pipe
  • MIG (GMAW) & Flux-Cored (FCAW)
  • Fixed 6G position (non-rotating)
Responsibilities
  • Perform socket welding on carbon steel, stainless, and alloy piping.
  • Read blueprints, isometrics, and weld symbols.
  • Fit, align, and assemble pipe components.
  • Inspect welds to ensure quality compliance.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, fitters, and team members regarding job progress and quality issues.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of pipe welding experience.
  • Ability to pass 6G weld test.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and piping drawings.
  • Good verbal communication skills required.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
