Summary / Objective
Responsible for scheduling and releasing production orders to meet customer demand and production capacity. Ensures material availability, monitors production progress, and supports daily shipping schedules.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for scheduling and releasing production orders to meet customer demand and production capacity. Ensures material availability, monitors production progress, and supports daily shipping schedules.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to support on-time customer delivery.
- Analyze sales order releases, capacity requirements, and material availability.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Enter and maintain shipping and delivery date information.
- Review MRP/ERP demand and coordinate with Supply Chain and Production to address material shortages.
- Communicate with manufacturing, purchasing, and other departments regarding material status and production planning.
- Monitor and evaluate inventory replenishment systems, including Kanban and supermarkets.
- Procure materials and components to support production requirements and special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with purchasing, expediting, MRP/ERP systems, continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Additional manufacturing or production planning experience.
- Prolonged sitting with frequent standing and walking.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted and heavier items with team assistance.
- Repetitive hand use requiring manual dexterity and coordination.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Ability to perform work requiring close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
