Job Description
SummaryProvides leadership and direction to Shipping/Receiving and Production Control. Ensures production work is scheduled and delivered meeting on-time delivery expectations. Primary DutiesPlan and establish work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals.Lead team to ensure shipping goals and deadlines are completed in a timely manner. Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and other documents to determine production requirements and to evaluate production and outputs.Interpret specifications, blueprints, job order and company policies and procedures.Work with the materials department to reduce inventory levels.Optimize scheduling of manufacturing processes and resources.Other Duties as Assigned QualificationsProven leadership skillsExpertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and database managersExcellent written communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skillsStrong computer skills (Microsoft office)Experience with Epicor preferred RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of experience and educationMinimum 3-years’ leadership experience in production control in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated proficiency with ERP and Excel software Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentAbility to move through facility and up and down stairsAbility to lift 50 lbs.Ability to visually see hard copy work orders and shipping documents
