Quality Inspector
Job Description
Inspecting various parts, packaging, slips to verify information is accurate and all items are accounted for. REPORTS TO: Director of QualityESSENTIAL ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform inspection, assessment, documentation and reporting of product and labeling to ensure conformance to company specifications and customer standards.· Evaluate incoming and inventoried product using established Acceptable Quality Levels, product standards and dimensional/functional specifications.· Communicate inventory movements to production, planning, and quality.· Record inspection results, complete reports, summarize re-work and input data into quality database· Perform weights and measures on new product.· Track and manage samples for sales representatives and 3rd party testing.· Product screening and rework· $15.00/hour, Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.· Need to be consistent and reliable. Able to work independently and maintain excellent attendance is critical.· Candidate may be required to cross-train into other departments, assisting as needed. This also ensures a more in-depth knowledge of our product and processes.Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
- Collect and record data from inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify and document any deviations or non-conformities in products or processes.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes to ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
- Participate in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and documentation.Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector or in a similar role preferred, but will train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data.
- Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes of quality issues.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
