Job Description
Quality Technician DaysMonday-Friday 6a-2:30pPay Range: $20-$24 Hourly
JOB SUMMARY: Conduct activities and functions in quality control covering inspection, measuring and testing of incoming material and company products during its production processes and final products in accordance to the standards and specifications requirement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure proper handling and maintenance of inspection, measuring & testing tools and equipment while ensuring calibration is conducted as required.Continually monitor quality level of the product by collecting measurement data.Manage, control and maintain material identification and traceability parameters and records of incoming material.Administer, handle, monitor and dispose rejects, replacements, scraps of incoming items.Follow up corrective actions at the shop floor with respect to incoming items, products’ quality and management system.Report/update any nonconformance detected at incoming of material, product in-progress, finished product and production processes.Assist in activities related to quality prevention, improvement and projects related to production processes and product.Participate in production processes and product audit, test and review of activities.Initiate, generate, report and maintain all necessary document, data and records requiredCollect and compile data to facilitate root cause investigation, measurement and analysis.Involved in the implementation, maintenance and improvement for ISO 14001 (EMS), ISO 9001 (QMS)
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED, minimum 2+ years in quality control or related experienceExperience in a manufacturing environment.Exposure in an 9001/14001 (EMS & QMS) manufacturing environment
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:Good team work and exhibits positive attitude.Interpersonal and people management skills.Proficiency with Microsoft OfficePossess basic technical drawing interpretation skill.Able to handle inspection tools and basic measuring equipment such as caliper, micrometer and height gauge.Ability to work independently with initiative
