7a-3:30p, OT as needed
Summary of Position
Responsible for the handling of material, incoming and outbound, including material being processed.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Retrieve material using forklift
- Assure compliance with delivery and specification requirements of customer orders.
- Pull and stage material according to the bill-of-lading and ensure the correct material is shipped to the customer.
- Obtain proof of identity from carriers and obtain the appropriate signatures on the bill-of-lading.
- Receive incoming materials daily.
- Process customer orders daily or within the required time stated on the ship tickets.
- Prep and/or load outbound freight or trucks.
- Deliver materials on truck in good condition with proper paperwork, if needed.
- Assist daily in the storage of excess inventory.
- Manage inventory through cycle count activity.
- Maintain facility, vehicles and equipment.
- Keeps immediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.
- Uses precision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers, nibblers and calipers.
- Adhere to DEA safety rules and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated
- Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to measure using different tools
- Ability to read and calculate numbers and data
- Good organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction
- Computer skills necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2years of shipping/receiving experience
- Forklift experience
Physical Requirements
Physical demands:
- Sitting—Rarely
- Reach with hands or arms—Over ¾ of the time
- Bending/Climbing—Over ½ of the time
