B - Operator B-Shift (Nights)
Job Description
Starting Pay $17 an hour. Shift is 8p - 8a • Help reel the products and build product reels per the Daily Schedule in a safe, productive way, also grinding scrap products when necessary.
• Make running adjustments when required to ensure all products comply with customer specifications.
• Understand the WOT “Work Order Traveler” to determine and verify that Product, Tape, Color, Size, Print, and Reels meet customer specifications.
• Tie off and band finish products, test, and tag reels in accordance with procedures and take outside to holding area.
• Help change half-moon supports and end plates when lines are down changing over.
• Grind scrap duct safely when needed.
• Complete paperwork as required.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Change print as required and ensure product and print quality on all products.
• Learn procedures and work instructions related to job function.
• Immediately report any defects or changes in specification to the Shift Supervisor or Lead.
• Responsible for on-line Quality Control ensuring product dimensions are within specified tolerances i.e., wall thickness, outside diameter, length, and overall appearance.
• Responsible for documenting all dimensions of product & production related information within a neat, accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain a safe working environment free of unnecessary equipment and materials, always maintaining a neat and orderly work area to high housekeeping standards.
• Comply with, support, and promote all Terra Star safety policies.
• Complete all other tasks assigned by the immediate Supervisor and any other things you are asked to do.
