Transformer Winder – 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm
Pay: $19.00+ DOE
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Transformer Winder to support assembly operations by winding coils according to precise specifications. This role requires the ability to interpret winding data, follow manufacturing instructions, and operate coil-winding equipment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, self-motivated, and capable of producing high-quality coils with consistency.

This role requires the ability to interpret winding data, follow manufacturing instructions, and operate coil-winding equipment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, self-motivated, and capable of producing high-quality coils with consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret winding data, tape measures, and micrometers (.001 to .075 measurements).
- Perform all necessary calculations and steps for winding various sizes and types of transformer coils.
- Load raw materials onto winding machines and set up placement based on winding specifications.
- Operate coil-winding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Produce high-quality coils while meeting production quantity goals.
- Read, verify, and understand Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Perform brazing, cold welding, and related processes.
- Complete required Process Control Records (PCRs) accurately.
- Safely operate cranes, pallet jacks, and hand/power tools.
- Work independently and maintain personal tools.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow safety guidelines and demonstrate consistent attendance and a positive attitude.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of related experience in coil winding, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, or similar technical roles.
- Strong ability to read micrometers, tape measures, and technical documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail—precision is critical.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and nationwide background check.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, kneel, crouch, and use hands throughout the shift.
- Lift 10 lbs regularly, 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to use peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus for detailed winding work.
- Exposure to humidity, airborne particles, and fabrication shop conditions.
- Occasional work around moving mechanical parts and elevated areas.
- Moderate noise environment typical of manufacturing facilities.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-directed.
- Highly precise with excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Positive attitude with willingness to learn and grow.
