Production Technician 1st Shift
Job Description
- Production Technician – 1st Shift (6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
Pay: $14.50/hr and up DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our 1st shift team. This role is responsible for supporting daily production, packing finished goods, operating machinery, and maintaining product quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret the daily production plan
- Track production data on communication boards
- Safely operate machinery such as mills, extruders, and ovens
- Pack finished goods into correct packaging and apply accurate labels
- Stack finished products onto pallets
- Troubleshoot basic workflow issues and make simple adjustments
- Ensure accuracy of formulations, weighings, and batch requirements
- Verify products meet internal and external specifications
- Perform frequent quality checks (visual inspections, AIMS, QMS, etc.)
- Use measuring tools and equipment effectively
- Report issues or concerns to management promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1–2 years of manufacturing or production experience
- Basic math and writing skills
- Basic computer skills for quality and documentation
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for long periods
- Ability to work around large industrial equipment and wear required PPE
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
