Standup Forklift Operator

Job Summary:
As a Standup Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a standup forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is crucial in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring that inventory is handled with care.

As a Standup Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a standup forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is crucial in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring that inventory is handled with care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Standup Forklift: Safely operate a standup forklift to transport materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and loading docks.
- Load and Unload: Load and unload goods from trucks or containers, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by accurately moving, stacking, and counting products. Report any discrepancies or damage.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct pre-shift inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials moved and inventory levels. Complete required paperwork and data entry tasks.
- Housekeeping: Keep the work area clean and organized. Ensure that all materials are stored in their designated locations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and resolve any issues that arise.
- Experience: Previous experience operating a standup forklift or similar equipment is preferred but not required.
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification preferred. Training may be provided.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and excellent hand-eye coordination. Basic math skills and the ability to use a computer for inventory management.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions (e.g., cold, hot, or humid).
- Safety: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
- Warehouse or industrial setting.
- May involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and potential hazards associated with a warehouse environment.
