Job Description

Summary/Objectives: It is the goal of Tanks personnel to handle material, identify parts, verify counts, and process the corresponding paperwork at a level that meets the current demands of Pelco Products Inc. and its customers with high productivity and excellent quality control. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  1. Basic material handling
  2. Able to comprehend job sheets and SDS sheets
  3. Basic hand tool operation
  4. Simple computer operations
  5. Able to count accurately
  6. 5S (lean operations)
  • Be available as required by customer demand to work additional time (overtime) throughout the year.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Cell Coordinator, Team Leader, Production Supervisor, or Production Manager.

Education and/or Experience:  Required:   
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing/production experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. 
  • Ability to read and understand job sheets and work instructions.
  • Ability to organize departmental work assignments and multi-task.
  • Average computer skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Must be a good communicator (written and verbal) and able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
 Preferred:
  • Some experience in a general environment is preferred.
 Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.  
  • Standing and walking for long periods.  Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Lifting to 40lbs unassisted and occasionally lifting and/or moving heavier items utilizing a team lift.
  • Repetitive use of hands/motion and manual dexterity, finger dexterity, and multi-limb coordination.
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, respirator mask, and coveralls.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes.
 Work Environment:
 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne contaminants, moving mechanical parts, and chemicals. The work environment is not climate-controlled.  The noise level may exceed the permissible exposure limit and hearing protection may be required.  Mechanical equipment, chemicals, and moving objects are present. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
 Full-Time. Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM. May require overtime based on business needs.  Temp to hire & starting at $16.00
