Warehouse Order Puller Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Order PullerJob Summary: The Warehouse Order Puller is responsible for accurately and efficiently picking and preparing products for shipment based on customer orders. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
  1. Order Picking:
    • Retrieve products from warehouse shelves or bins based on customer order specifications.
    • Use order sheets or scanners to identify the correct items, quantities, and locations.
  2. Packing Orders:
    • Package items securely to prevent damage during shipping.
    • Label packages with necessary shipping and handling information.
  3. Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels and inform supervisors when stock needs to be replenished.
    • Assist in inventory audits and cycle counts.
  4. Shipping Preparation:
    • Ensure orders are ready for shipment and placed in the appropriate staging area.
    • Coordinate with shipping personnel to verify order readiness for dispatch.
  5. Maintaining a Clean and Safe Work Environment:
    • Follow safety guidelines while operating equipment (such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
    • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  6. Collaborating with Team Members:
    • Work closely with supervisors, inventory specialists, and other warehouse team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
    • Assist in training new staff as needed.
  7. Quality Control:
    • Inspect orders for accuracy, ensuring the correct items and quantities are picked.
    • Report any discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order processing software.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic math skills for inventory counting and order verification.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Forklift certification (if required).
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift for long periods.
  • Physical stamina to move, pick, and pack items in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
  • Warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Shift work, including nights and weekends, may be required, depending on company needs.

Temp-to-hire opportunity with a pay of $16.00 to $17.00 DOE (depending on experience)
