Welder 2nd Shift
Job Description
Summary/Objective:
We have a New client that needs some welders. The welder performs repetitive work-station welding operations to mass produce axle components or to assemble those components onto a completed axle. Welders should be familiar with automated welding and gauging. Welders are responsible for working in a SAFE manner according to the policies and procedures listed in the employee handbook. Welders are involved in company programs that highlight safety improvements, new procedures, and new/different uses of tools and equipment to improve quality and efficiency.
Job Duties:
Welders are responsible for reading and understanding the following documentation:
• Standard Operating Procedures
• Job Hazard Analysis
• Live Electrical Training
• Shop Floor Orders
• Job Aids
Welders are responsible for the following:
• Weld and assemble axles and parts
• Follow all procedures and shop floors to ensure a QUALITY product
• Inform their supervisor of any shortages and possible substitutions
• Follow schedules and ensure that schedules are completed on time and correctly
• Inform the supervisor/group leader of any problems or quality defects
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Work within and promote a TEAM atmosphere among co-workers
• Rework axles as needed
• Perform other tasks or duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Welders must be certified for the job he/she is performing or is within their training period to be certified according to the training procedures
• Must have MIG welding experience
• Welders must be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and can work well with others in a team environment
• Must possess a good work ethic and be adaptable to a fast-paced work environment
• Must have the flexibility to work overtime
• Must be able to lift to 55 lbs.
Reports To: Production Supervisor
The shift is from 4 pm to 12 am p,m with OT. (MUST be able to work Saturdays when needed) $25.25 to start
